Hey there, Prescott area peeps (and visitors)! whether you have friends or family in town, you're new to the area, or you're a long time resident, the question you'll hear almost every day is..."where should I go to eat?" Well ask no longer! Here is a list (in no particular order, and based solely on my opinion) of the 10 best local spots to get your grub on in the Prescott area!

1. The Local: If for nothing else, The Local had to make this list for the simple reason that Prescottonians love this place so much that they payed out of their own pockets to help get the place opened! With an eclectic and inventive menu, created from locally sourced ingredients, you'll be sure to find something to suit you!

2. Bill's Pizza: If you're spending the afternoon downtown with friends and family and are in the mood for some pizza, you're in luck! I've eaten pizza in many pizzerias in many cities across this beautiful nation of ours, and very few come anywhere close to the pie you get at Bill's. Definitely a "go to" on a summer's evening while taking in some of the awesome live entertainment on the square!

3. The Barley Hound: Talk about a local kid making good! Chef Harley at The Barley Hound comes up with some of the most innovative dishes in the area! With an ever changing seasonal menu, you are sure to find something you love and you'll never get bored!

4. LaBruzzas: What's the best Italian place in town? THIS PLACE! The menu here is simple, classic and most of all, delicious! I could go on and on about this place but just eat here and thank me later!  (Just remember, if you're looking for the perfect bottle of wine to go with your meal, make sure to stop by the store on your way to dinner :)

5. Taj Mahal Restaurant and Bar: I truly think that the main reason that Taj Mahal is the only Indian restaurant in the area is that it's so dang good that any other place would pale in comparison! The Chicken Makhni is my personal favorite and the service is always impecable!

6. Fujiyama: Like your fish on the "raw" side? This place is the place to be! Not a fan of sushi but still looking for fantastic, authentic Asian flavors? This is STILL the place to be! With sushi menu including local creations and all of your favorites, and some of the best Asian cuisine the Mile High City has to offer, you'll definitely want to give Fujiyama a try.

7. Gabby's Kitchen: Located on the south side of Chino Valley, Gabby's is a fantastic little breakfast and lunch spot. Their biscuits and gravy, and eggs Benedict are straight up, on point, and their pancakes are awesome! Stop in any morning, say hello, and enjoy some great down home cooking.

8. The Lone Spur Cafe: Right in the heart of downtown Prescott, and recently expanded, the Lone Spur is a Prescott fixture. With old west decor, an extensive menu of all of your old favorites, and a some new twists on those favorites (Filet Mignon Benedict...yes please!) you could eat here daily for over a month and not repeat a meal.

9. Speed's Hangar Deli: Sometimes you just want a sandwich but not just any sandwich. If you're in the Prescott area, you're just a stones throw away from what I believe is the best sandwich you may ever have. From sky high deli sandwiches to delicious salads and wraps, put Speed's on your list of places to check out.

10. The Devil's Pantry: OK, all of the other places on the list have been good, reasonable, somewhat responsible places to get a great meal...The Devil's Pantry is not that place! bacon wrapped corn dogs, chocolate covered bacon, deep fried Twinkies, OH MY! If you are looking for a guilty pleasure...this is the place!

11. Your own kitchen: I know what you're thinking...you said this was a top 10 list... Well, it technically was. Prescott has no shortage great places to eat, but in my experience, the best dining happens in your own home with friends and family. If you're looking for a kitchen to call your very own, or a bigger kitchen, or a kitchen in a different part of our lovely community, give me a call and let me help you find a kitchen to call home!
